regulate the engine through fuel control. The pump feeds fuel
through the injection lines to the injectors which provide

usually provide satisfactory service for about 75,000 miles.
They can go quite a bit longer. Some of the signs to look for
include:
1. loss in
fuel economy
2. loss in power or acceleration
3. hard starting problems.
What do I
do if I have one of these symptoms?
If you notice a performance problem,
there are some steps you can take to rectify the problem.
1. Change
the filters.
2.
Use
fuel conditioners.
They can increase mileage and power. Contaminated fuel can
cause clogged filters even if they have just been changed.
3. Have it checked out by a qualified mechanic.
Fuel pumps and injectors can be replaced or rebuilt.
